1950 Film Culture
To relate to my theme on my burger bar brief, I have illustrated a few 1950's film characters in a Brendan Macarthy style:

Food Illustrations
My current brief is to design a diner / burger bar, here are some illustrations in the style of Tom Hovey.
He is promotional graphic / logo for the burger bar based on takeaways like Dope Buger and the artist Brendan Macarthy who illustrated 2000AD. The themes I wanted to promoted were old 1950's films, like the horror film posters which Reynold Brown painted.

Healthy Cereal Box Design
This brief was to design a healthy cereal, the artists I referenced for this designed were Emma Dibben, Shirley Trevena (Watercolourists), Nate Williams (Typographer). The bear character was also designed using typography as it creates a more organic, child-friendly appeal.
Estate Agents Hull
I entered a competition to design a display for an estate agents; the details for the competition were to include two circles in which the estate agents could put information in. I decided to go for an illustrative, water colour style.
Circus Brief
In this brief I had to design characters for a children's book on the circus, the artists I used as references were Sara Fanelli, Nate Williams, Paul Rand and the author / designer of Bembo's Zoo. I used these artists because I wanted to use typography to create the characters as I felt it makes them simple, but creative and friendly.
